Each year during Open Enrollment, employees have the opportunity to update or change their benefit plans. They also have the opportunity to review their current benefit plans, add or drop dependents, change life insurance beneficiaries and update demographic information such as home address, phone and email address. Online Open Enrollment will be held November 1, 2018 through November 24, 2018. The enrollment decisions employees make will be effective January 1, 2019 and remain in effect through December 31, 2019. Benefit details for 2019 are available on the County of Summit Intranet SCENE and will be reviewed at the Employee Open Enrollment Benefit meetings listed in the Open Enrollment Flyer.

EVERY EMPLOYEE MUST GO THROUGH THE ONLINE ENROLLMENT PROCESS IN BENXPRESS. If employees do not complete the online enrollment process, they will default to the Maximum Value/HSA Plan. Please review the 2019 Open Enrollment Benefit Guide for an overview of the benefit options and instructions on completing On-line Open Enrollment through BenXpress. Information regarding premiums can be obtained from your benefit coordinator for your department/agency.

Log into BenXpress between November 1st and November 24th to make your benefit elections for 2019. Be sure to complete the entire enrollment process, SAVE your changes, and PRINT A CONFIRMATION STATEMENT.

To assist employees with making benefit choices that best suit their needs, the County is introducing “ALEX”! ALEX is a benefits counseling tool that will help employees understand their benefits, feel educated on the plan options they have, and choose what plan makes the most sense for themselves and their families. ALEX will be available to all employees during open enrollment, November 1st to November 24th.
